Population Council biomedical scientists work to develop products to improve the reproductive health of women and men, including a microbicide that may enable women to protect themselves from HIV as well as both male and female contraceptives.

Scientists also explore the treatment of diseases of the reproductive system, such as prostate cancer, and are addressing hormonal problems associated with aging in men and women.
