Eberhard Nieschlag is the director of the Institute of Reproductive Medicine at the University of Münster. He holds a degree in medicine from the University of Bonn and received specialized training in both internal medicine and clinical endocrinology. In addition, Nieschlag earned a degree in teaching internal medicine at the University of Düsseldorf.
He is the president of the German Society of Andrology and the German Society of Reproductive Medicine. Nieschlag is an expert in the areas of male reproductive health and dysfunction. The winner of several prestigious international awards, Nieschlag is also the author of more than 600 journal articles, 250 book chapters, and the editor or co-editor of eight books.
