Vivian Brache, PROFAMILIA (Dominican Republic)
Vivian Brache is principal investigator in the Biomedical Research Department
of PROFAMILIA. Brache has
conducted numerous clinical studies on the mechanism of action of different
contraceptives methods. She has also collaborated in many clinical studies to
develop new contraceptives and microbicides. She is author or co-author of more
than 85 journal articles. In addition to serving as a consulting scientist and
member of the ICCR since 1988, she has also been a member of CONRAD's Technical
Advisory Committee since 1996, and Executive Director of the Latin American
Program for Research and Training in Human Reproduction since 2001.
