FRONTIERS PROJECT
Comparing the Effectiveness and Costs of Alternative Strategies for Improving Access to Information and Services for the IUD in Ghana

This study tested the effect of training country health officers and volunteers to educate community members about long-term family planning methods, in particular the intrauterine device (IUD). The study measured the impact of increasing awareness of long-term contraceptives on their overall use, and determined the costs of the intervention and the related training.
