FRONTIERS PROJECT
Developing Regional Capacity in Operations Research (OR) and Economic Evaluation in South Asia

FRONTIERS collaborated with the Institute of Health Economics in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the UK Department for International Development to develop regional capacity in OR. The project was to provide four workshops on conducting and evaluating reproductive health OR. However, the high demand for training allowed researchers to leverage additional funding so that the project produced nine workshops on a range of research topics including economic evaluation, proposal writing, and process documentation. A total of 157 trainees from 17 countries participated in the training. A survey showed that 70 percent of participants were using their skills in program development or research.
