FRONTIERS PROJECT With the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Education, and the Associates for Community and Population Research (ACPR), FRONTIERS tested community-, clinic-, and school-based interventions to improve reproductive health knowledge among young people. Over 200 trained peer educators provided reproductive and general health information to in-school adolescents. Sixteen community facilitators were recruited to provide reproductive health education to out-of-school adolescents. Over 130 teachers in 39 schools completed reproductive health education sessions for approximately 9,000 students. Between July and September 2002, 4,490 adolescents, predominantly girls, visited youth-friendly clinics. The curriculum has been revised and scaled up in vocational training centers (see "Introducing an Adolescent Reproductive Health Curriculum in Vocational Training Courses").
