FRONTIERS PROJECT In collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), FRONTIERS provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Bangladesh to introduce emergency contraceptive pills (ECP) into the National Family Planning Program. This project (formally titled "Enhancing Utilization of Research Findings: Scaling Up Emergency Contraceptive Pills [ECP] Program to the National Level in Bangladesh") was a follow-up to the successful three-year pilot project that tested the introduction of ECP in Bangladesh (see "Introducing Emergency Contraception [EC] in Bangladesh"). The majority of providers received training on ECP, and retention of ECP knowledge by service providers and field workers after two years remains high. Participating facilities have educational brochures and ECP supplies on hand. Location Bangladesh Duration July 2003–February 2007 Population Council researchers M.E.
