FRONTIERS PROJECT
Influencing Reproductive Health Policy and Programs in the Philippines

Working with the Ministry of Health (MOH), FRONTIERS assessed the effectiveness of mobilizing teams of trained “policy champions” to promote managers’ utilization of research findings. The research showed that mobilizing policy champions to influence program managers to use operations research-tested tools can lead to significant program changes. The national Population Commission adopted the policy champion approach and is implementing it in other provinces.
