FRONTIERS PROJECT
Technical Assistance to Increase the Sustainability and Coverage of the Well Family Midwife Program

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and John Snow, Inc. (JSI)/TANGO II, FRONTIERS conducted a survey to determine clients’ willingness to pay for family planning and other reproductive health services. The survey showed that raising the price of some oral contraceptives, intrauterine device (IUD) insertions, and other family planning services could increase revenues. Clients also were willing to pay for Pap smears and pregnancy tests. Researchers recommended new minimum prices to midwives based on survey findings.
