Demographic and Health Surveys

Demographic and Health Surveys (or DHS) are nationally representative household surveys from countries around the world. The sample sizes are usually large (from 5,000 to 30,000 households) and provide monitoring and impact evaluation indicators in the areas of population, health, and nutrition.
