Rigorous research is at the heart of the GIRL Center – it ensures that the programs and policies that affect adolescent girls are evidence-based and more likely to succeed. The Population Council has studied adolescent girls and fueled projects and programs to improve their lives for more than two decades, resulting in data on nearly 200,000 adolescents in 16 countries.
