Centre pour le Developpement de la Santé/Johns Hopkins University—Culture, Health, and Sexuality: Reducing HIV/STI Risk in Haiti

Overview
This instrument is one component of the NIH/USAID/FHI AIDS Behavioral Research Program funded by USAID, and is available in Haitian French. It was part of the collaborative Centre pour le Developpement de la Santé/Johns Hopkins University (CDS/JHU) research project called: “Culture, Health, and Sexuality: Reducing HIV/STI Risk in Haiti.”

Methodology/validity
The instrument was developed by Barbara de Zalduondo and her team in Haiti: Dr. Jean Maxius Bernard, Mme. Marie Carment Flambert, Mme. Gladys Mayard, and Mr. Calixte Clêrismê. The instrument was used in a stratified random household survey of 256 households in Cité Soleil and Porte-au-Prince in Haiti in 1992.
