Programs > Horizons > World AIDS Day 2004 Seminar

On 2 December the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), Global Coalition on Women and AIDS, and the Horizons Program convened a half-day technical seminar to commemorate World AIDS Day, as the theme for the upcoming year is women, girls, and HIV and AIDS.

The seminar, entitled "It's Time to Act," reflects the fact that much is known about the impact of the epidemic on girls and women, and while there is still much to learn, it is time to move forward from talk to action. The seminar focused on critical issues that affect women and girls, drawing on both intervention research and lessons learned in the field, in order to further a more action-oriented program and policy agenda.
