Installation Instructions for Current HRS 2 Users

HRS 2.2 may be installed on a machine that already has HRS 2. The setup process creates a new directory (Hrs2.2\Hrs\, or whatever directory you specify) for the system. The setup process will not un-install or overwrite the older version; you do not need to delete or un-install it unless you wish to do so. However, no data, passwords, or other customized preferences will be transferred to HRS 2.2 from the older system.

At the moment, there is no automated machinery in place to update previous versions of the HRS with the new features incorporated in version 2.2. Experienced programmers with site-specific HRS applications should be able to either incorporate the new features into their application or apply their site-specific modifications to HRS 2.2. Future versions of the HRS will address the issue of automated updates.
