Guide to Population Council Activities at Microbicides 2006
The Council will:
discuss findings from the Council's research and programs. (click here to access schedule and abstracts)
conduct a satellite symposium on Informed Consent in Clinical Trials, Tuesday, 25 April (4:30–6:00 pm). This symposium is sponsored by the Population Council, Family Health International, and the Research Triangle Institute. (PDF of agenda) (related link: PDF of 2005 workshop report)
disseminate information and publications at Table 3 in the Convention Centre Ballroom.
provide media-friendly services, including:
- arranging interviews with Council researchers;
- providing electronic and traditional format press kit and press release; and
- assisting in article and lead development.
Gita Ramjee, principal investigator for the Council's Phase 3 microbicides clinical trial at the Medical Research Council, is one of three conference chairs. The Council's Ayorinde Ajayi and Elof D.B. Johansson are members of the Scientific Advisory Committee.
