Myths Versus Facts About Family Planning
Population Council
Washington, DC
10 December 2009
In "A response to critics of family planning programs" (PDF), published in International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, the Population Council’s John Bongaarts and co-author Steven W. Sinding aim to set the record straight and to urge that family planning become a higher priority on the international development agenda.
John Bongaarts will present this paper along with compelling health and spending statistics proving the importance of family planning in today’s commitment to global health, and encouraging further investment in reproductive health programs. (For more information, see "International family planning programs: a fact sheet.")
Please join us at the Population Council on 10 December 2009 at 2:00 pm for this presentation and discussion.
