MEDIA CENTER Mexican President Vicente Fox to Meet with Population Council Trustees and Staff NEW YORK and MEXICO CITY (10 January 2005) — The board of trustees and senior staff members of the Population Council will meet with Vicente Fox Quesada, the president of Mexico, on 10 January at Los Pinos, the presidential residence. The Population Council's board of trustees consists of 14 men and women from eight countries—Germany, India, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Mexico, Sweden, and the United States. Rodney B. Wagner, retired vice chairman of the board for J.P. Morgan & Co., and Elizabeth J. McCormack of Rockefeller Associates are chairman and vice chairman, respectively. Trustee Angel Gurria, who has a long record of service in the Mexican government, is the former Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as the former Secretary of the Treasury of Mexico. In 2000, Vicente Fox Quesada was elected president of Mexico, which has an estimated population of 105 million. See Also
