EMPLOYMENT POSITION AVAILABLE TITLE: Legal Intern (Part-Time), Office of the General Counsel and Secretary REPORTING TO: General Counsel and Secretary SALARY: $15.00 per hour, plus academic credit if applicable HOURS: Flexible, approximately 15–20 hour per week LOCATION: One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, New York, NY ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: Approximately three months (one semester), with possibility of extension based on mutual consent and availability of funding JOB DESCRIPTION The legal intern will be under the direct mentorship of the organization’s general counsel and will be required to assist the general counsel by conducting research on legal issues affecting international nonprofit research organizations, drafting legal memoranda, assisting in the administration of agreements, monitoring and reporting on proposed and enacted legislation relevant to the organization, and providing assistance on litigation matters.
