Helping Women Achieve Optimal Birth-spacing Intervals Through Fostering Linkages Between MCH and FP Services
In Egypt, Council research helped providers integrate maternal and child health and family planning services.
Working with Social Planning, Analysis and Administration Consultants (SPAAC), FRONTIERS tested the feasibility of providing integrated maternal and child health and family planning (MCH/FP) counseling and services during home visits. The intervention examined the acceptability and impact of providing integrated MCH/FP counseling and services to providers and patients and investigated why some women may not be able to achieve optimal birth-spacing intervals despite integrated service provision.
