PROJECT
Better Reproductive Health for Poor Women
in South Asia

In 2004 researchers in the Population Council's Pakistan office conducted two analytical reviews for Pakistan as part of a South Asian study being conducted by the World Bank. The two studies are on poverty and women’s reproductive health status, and on the quality of reproductive health services. These reviews identify gaps in and barriers to improving women’s health and identify the links between poverty, reproductive health status, and the quality of reproductive health services. The findings of both reviews will contribute to developing sound policy and programmatic recommendations, with particular focus at the district level.
