Overview presentation of USAID's support to facilitate research and development, regulatory approval, and introduction of multipurpose prevention technologies (MPTs) given by Judy Manning at the Day of Dialogue on Multipurpose Prevention Technologies: Toward Clarity in Nomenclature meeting in Washington, DC, 2 February 2011. The half-day meeting was convened by the Population Council with a diverse set of stakeholders to try to clarify the nomenclature and concepts associated with MPTs. The Population Council is playing a central role in the US Agency for International Development's effort to clarify and inform regulatory pathways for multipurpose prevention technologies.
