PDRThis book, available only in Spanish, documents strategies from several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to improve the quality and effectiveness of postabortion care (PAC) services. It outlines the complete PAC model currently in use (including counseling and integration with family planning); summarizes results of operations research projects that have proved interventions to provide more client-oriented, integral services; and documents the experience of several PAC programs throughout the region. Este libro presenta estrategias para mejorar la calidad y eficacia de los servicios de atención postaborto (APA) que se han aplicado en varios países de América Latina y el Caribe. Además de describir los elementos del modelo ampliado y actualizado de APA, presenta resultados de varios proyectos de investigación operativa que han probado intervenciones para proporcionar servicios APA más integrados y enfocados en las clientes; proporciona recomendaciones para mejorar la consejería, la integración de los servicios y la capacitación de los proveedores, y documenta la experiencia de varios programas de APA en la región.
