Heather Clark supports the planning and conduct of pre-introductory activities for the progesterone vaginal ring (PVR) developed by the Council and its partners, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. She also works to increase the understanding of the PVR in the global family planning and maternal health communities. She is a member of the Council’s Reproductive Health program.
Clark worked at the Council from 2000 to 2006 as a regional coordinator. Before rejoining the Council in 2012, she was program manager for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). A member of the Global Health Council, Clark has contributed to peer-reviewed articles on the progesterone vaginal ring. Clark holds an MPH from New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education & Human Development.
