REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH The Population Council is a leader in conducting studies on a range of reproductive health issues. Council research in this area emphasizes the synergy of reproductive health and family planning services and seeks to combine them successfully and cost-effectively. Examples of key reproductive health programs include: Frontiers in Reproductive Health systematically examines and improves family planning programs in developing countries. Gender, Family, and Development explores girls' and women's roles, status, and their ability to make decisions about their lives. Horizons is a major effort that focuses on global operations research on HIV and AIDS.
