K.G. Santhya, Ph.D.

K.G. Santhya’s current research focuses largely on the social disadvantages and sexual and reproductive health risks faced by married adolescents. Specifically, her areas of interest include:

  • STI/HIV risk among married young people;
  • Pregnancy-related practices and risks among adolescents;
  • Experience of sex without consent among youth; and the implications of this for programming; and
  • Social isolation experienced by adolescent girls.
