Deborah Weiss
Program Manager
Deborah Weiss is the HIV and AIDS program manager at the Population Council. Her responsibilities include set-up and oversight of a variety of projects; managing the USAID-funded Project SEARCH and AIDSTAR indefinite quantity contracts; supervising proposal development for government and foundation donors; and representing the HIV and AIDS program to partners, donors, and government representatives.
Weiss has nearly 10 years of experience in HIV and AIDS and reproductive health project management, fundraising, and communications. She has previously worked at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health; the University of California, San Francisco—Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health; and Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She holds a master's of public health degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of arts degree in women’s and gender studies from Columbia University.
