Study Coordinator Profile Sarah Littlefield, study coordinator with the Population Council's HIV and AIDS program, joined the Council in 2006 as a data manager for the Phase 3 clinical trial of Carraguard®, the Council’s lead-candidate microbicide, which is designed to prevent HIV infection in women. Littlefield recently has transitioned into the role of study coordinator for the Population Council's second-generation microbicide candidates, as well as other supporting microbicide research. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of studies, both domestic and international. A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Littlefield received a bachelor of arts in religion and sociology. She received a master's in public health from the Yale University School of Epidemiology and Public Health in 2006, with a focus in social and behavioral science and chronic disease epidemiology.
