STAFF BIOGRAPHIES
Ubaidur Rob, Ph.D.
Senior Associate
Ubaidur Rob has 20 years of experience managing, developing,
implementing, and disseminating information from family planning and
reproductive health operations research projects. As a senior associate
in the Population Council's office in Bangladesh, Rob is responsible for
all areas of program management including providing technical assistance
in the development, management, and evaluation of research projects
implemented by nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the Ministry of
Health and Family Welfare. He also conducts policy analysis for the
introduction of new programmatic interventions.
Before moving to Bangladesh, Rob served as the resident advisor to the
Population Council's office in Pakistan, participating in all aspects of
management, design, implementation, and dissemination of information
related to family planning operations research projects that were funded
by the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNFPA, the ODA, and
USAID. He also managed institutional development and program support for
the Nongovernmental Organizations Coordinating Council and provided NGOs
with technical assistance, including consultation on program development,
monitoring, and evaluation.
Rob's areas of expertise include project development, implementation,
and evaluation; dissemination and utilization of research findings;
conducting in-depth surveys; and consultation on program development,
monitoring, and evaluation.
Rob is affiliated with the Population Council's Reproductive Health
