Mary Philip Sebastian, a program officer based in New Delhi, India, assists in the management of various adolescent research projects. Sebastian was instrumental in implementing a livelihoods program for adolescent girls comprising vocational and savings counseling, vocational training courses, opening of savings accounts, and follow-up support for use of vocational skills and savings accounts in the urban slums of Allahabad. Prior to joining the Population Council, she worked with human service organizations to implement intervention programs.

Sebastian has a Ph.D. in humanities and social sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
