The Population Reference Bureau (PRB) is a core partner on the Population Council’s Evidence to End FGM/C: Research to Help Girls and Women Thrive—a UKAID-funded research program to help end female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) within one generation. Their role is to build the consortium’s capacity for research utilization and to develop innovative tools and products to improve how researchers communicate their findings about FGM/C to key decisionmakers.
PRB has developed a five-part video series titled "Communicating Research Through Data Visualization." The series offers an introduction to data visualizations to help researchers better communicate FGM/C findings to key policy and program audiences. It covers strategies on how to present data, basic design concepts, and tools that can help improve workflow. Examples include health and FGM/C data.
The "Communicating Research Through Data Visualization" series includes:
- Part One—What is Data Visualization?
- Part Two—Why use Data Visualizations?
- Part Three—Conceptualizing Your Data Visualization
- Part Four—Design Tips
- Part Five—Tools and Workflow
