Ashita Munjral is a Program Officer at the Population Council and works on the Family Planning Monitoring Learning and Evaluation (FPMLE) project as a Project Manager. In this role, she is responsible for setting up and managing the project management unit for the FPMLE consortium. Recently, she has also been a part of the RASTA project and represents the Population Council's India office as a Knowledge Management ambassador.
As part of her work on the FPMLE consortium, Munjral manages the project deliverables, working towards the project's ultimate goal of monitoring the progress of the Government of India’s family planning program in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Working with five partners, the team assesses the collective impact of family planning programming on improving contraceptive use intentions and behaviors with a focus on zero and low parity women.
Before joining the Council, Munjral worked at IPE Global, where she managed and led projects such as Reducing Anemia through Normative Innovations (RANI), Matrix of Change, RajPusht- Transforming systems for delivering high impact nutrition results in Rajasthan, and others. She has curated and implemented programs funded by donors like BMGF, CIFF and George Washington University.
Munjral has a MSc in Finance and Economics from London School of Economics, and BE(Hons) in Civil Engineering and MBA from BITS-Pillani.
