Ronald Geary is Interim Vice President for Corporate Finance and Administration (CFO & Treasurer) at the Population Council. Geary is a key strategic partner to the President and the Executive Team advising on and overseeing organizational operations, including finance, international operations, grants and contracts, human resources, and information technology.
Geary brings more than 30 years of experience in global grants and contract management, and expertise in assessment, selection, and implementation of accounting software to the Population Council. Before joining the Population Council, Geary served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Jhpiego Corporation, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University. There, he managed growth both in people and systems as Jhpiego grew from $250 million to a $400 million revenue organization with over 4,000 Global employees in 35 countries. His focus was to design and rollout systems to manage risk and to meet expanding donor compliance and fiduciary requirements. Geary also served as Vice President and CFO for several international organizations, including CHF International and IntraHealth International. He also served on various Boards of Directors of not-for-profit organizations, including the Population Council, prior to assuming this role.
Geary holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University. Geary is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (Massachusetts & North Carolina) and a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
