Chief Financial Officer
Renee Richardson is responsible for the financial strategy and management of the Council’s resources, including accounting, budgeting, grants management, cash management and investments, audit, compliance, risk management, and reporting.
Richardson joined the Council as controller in June 2008, overseeing all Council accounting functions, internal controls, and compliance. She implemented several successful initiatives, including a restructuring of the Council’s accounting department to ensure more streamlined and effective internal processing and effective preparation and execution of the Council’s annual audits and tax-reporting requirements.
Before joining the Council, Richardson served as controller of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research in New York. She worked overseas and in the United States for the International Rescue Committee in a number of positions, including director of international finance; in London for Railtrack PLC; and in Brisbane, Australia for BDO Nelson Parkhill.
An Australian native, Richardson has holds a bachelor of business degree in accountancy from the University of Southern Queensland and is a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
